"I consider myself blessed to have been selected to receive the Love Thy Neighbor Scholarship. Since I have begun college, I realize how vital it is to be financially secure. As an out-of-state student at UNC-Chapel Hill, I had many expenses that I could not afford and the Love Thy Neighbor Scholarship helped to lighten the financial load that my family had to endure. I have applied this $1,500.00 scholarship to book payments and other miscellaneous expenses. Unlike a few scholarships I received, this is renewable which infers that the scholarship team wants to ensure my success and retention during all four years of my undergraduate career.  Thank you for investing in my future." 

"I am very grateful to have been afforded The Troy Vincent Scholarship. It has helped to alleviate the large burden of a college tuition and I am honored to have been selected. One of the best parts of the scholarship is that it is renewable, which has been another added bonus. Every opportunity I have been given, whether large or small, has contributed greatly to my higher education experience, including this scholarship. It is nice to look back and see that this scholarship has followed me from my days and accomplishments of Pennsbury high school through my college years at The George Washington University."                                                      

Since 1994, Love Thy Neighbor has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships to deserving students graduating from Pennsbury High School and Trenton Central High School. Each year a graduating student from each high school is chosen and awarded a scholarship for their college education. Students become eligible for renewal by staying in school and maintaining an above average grade point average. Students who have received Love Thy Neighbor scholarships have gone on to attend and graduate from such fine academic institutions as University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Winston-Salem University, the University of Wisconsin, Florida A&M University, Morris Brown College, Howard University, Hampton University, Virginia Union University, Delaware State University, Rutgers University, Temple University, Delaware State University, Morehouse and Fairleigh Dickerson College.
